Before You Book Your Appointment

To ensure a smooth process, please have the following from your builder before scheduling:

    1. A copy of your building floor plan
    2. A copy of your flooring package inclusions
    3. Your builder’s Job Number
    4. Your full address (Lot number, street name, and suburb)

If you are missing any of these, please contact your builder before booking.

Important Information About Your Appointment

    • Location: All builder flooring selections are held at our Osborne Park Showroom, located at 12 Frobisher Street Osborne Park WA.
    • Appointment Length: Each session runs for 45 minutes.
    • Bookings Essential: We strongly recommend an appointment. If you visit without one, you may have to wait for a team member to become available.
    • Browsing Beforehand: You’re welcome to visit any Trevors Carpets store to browse products or visit our website. Please note, our retail sales team cannot provide builder selection advice outside of your scheduled appointment.

 

Things to Consider When Choosing Your Floor

Selecting your flooring is an important part of your home build. Please take the time to consider:

    • Your lifestyle: children, pets, and expected foot traffic.
    • Furniture & weight: some products have weight limits (e.g. heavy furniture, billiard tables, stone benchtops, built in furniture).
    • Future renovations: adding built-in furniture, skirtings, or decorative trims may impact warranties if not installed in line with manufacturer requirements.
    • Environment: sunlight, heating/cooling, and humidity all affect flooring performance.
    • Appearance: samples may vary from batch to batch and will look different in your home’s natural light compared to the showroom. Some products require the installation of a expansion join, depending on length and width of the installation.
    • Research: read about the manufacturer, product performance, and care requirements. While our Builder Representatives are trained to guide you, they may not cover every consideration specific to your lifestyle.
    • Have a backup selection: Depending on when your build will take place, the time between your selection and the flooring installation, your selection may become unavailable.

 

Your Responsibilities & Warranty Information

All flooring supplied and installed by Trevors Carpets is covered by our Terms and Conditions and the Product-Specific Addendums for Timber, Carpet, Vinyl, Hybrid, and Vinyl Plank.

Please read these documents carefully before making your selection. They contain important details such as:

    • Care and maintenance obligations (failure to follow these may void warranties)
    • Product limitations (e.g. not suitable for wet areas, risk of fading in direct sunlight, expansion and contraction allowances)

Your decision today will affect not only how your home looks, but also how your floors perform long-term.
