What are Wall Panels and what are they used for?
Flat or 3D rectangular strips of material, wall panels serve the purpose of covering an exposed wall. Providing more than just a uniform aesthetic for a space, wall panels also have insulating and soundproofing properties.
Wall Panel Materials
At Trevors we offer two types of composite materials for our wall panels, each with their own aesthetic appeal:
- Concrete Wall Panels – comprised of magnesium oxide and cement, combined with natural fibres and recycled textiles.
- Recycled Timber Wall Cladding – in golden-dark American walnut and rich Acacia
What are the Benefits of Wall Panels?
Aesthetic Appeal
From the character created by the concrete’s naturally irregular surface-finish, to the unique patterns formed by the layers and colours of 3D timber wall cladding, wall panels are more than just functional – they’re a feature (3D timber panels can create an exceptional feature wall!).
Available in a wide range of sizes and colours, there’s a wall panel look to suit every style and application – residential or commercial. Warm timber wall panels instantly make a lounge room or restaurant feel cosy and homely, whereas neutral concrete panels can create a sophisticated or professional ambience.
Functionality
Apart from masking an exposed and unfinished wall, panels keep the warmth in and the sound out, ensuring the room is as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Budget Friendly
Wall panels can lower construction or renovation costs, their uniform appearance removes the need for an additional finishing material (such as a coat of paint). Wall panels that will only be exposed on one-side do not require a finish on the facedown side, further cutting costs. In scenarios where there is a suitable framework, the panels themselves can even serve as a wall substitute.
Safety
Our concrete wall panels are both fire-resistant and water-resistant.
Eco-Friendly
Whether wall panels are made with 100% recycled timber or 100% biodegradable concrete, our wall panels are made with natural and sustainable materials. The naturally-occurring features of timber and concrete can’t compare to man-made products. Everything from the colour to the texture and thickness is made by nature.

That’s a lot of choice and our expert flooring consultants would love to help you choose what’s right for you.
